2026 Summer Camp
🎨 STEAM Makers Art Camp – Build It, Paint It, Engineer It!
What happens when art meets engineering? Pure summer magic.
STEAM Makers Art Camp is a week where creativity and making collide. Campers don't just create art — they design, build, and engineer using real STEAM thinking. From cardboard construction challenges to hands-on painting experiments, every project asks campers to think like both an artist and a maker.
No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands messy.
What campers will make this week:
- 🏗️ Cardboard Engineering Challenge — Design and build a freestanding structure using only cardboard, tape, and imagination. Who can build the tallest tower? The strongest bridge? Campers explore structural integrity, geometry, and load-bearing — then put their builds to the test.
- 🦋 Paper Craft & Symmetry Art — Campers explore the math of symmetry and pattern through paper folding, cutting, and collage. Think butterflies, mandalas, and geometric designs that are as mathematical as they are beautiful.
- 🖐️ Finger Painting & Color Mixing Lab — We go back to basics with an artistic twist — campers explore color theory, mixing primary colors to discover secondaries, and experiment with texture, pressure, and layering to create expressive artwork.
- 🌀 Kaleidoscope Builders — Campers engineer their own working kaleidoscope from cardboard, mirrors, and craft materials, then decorate it as their own piece of art. Science, math, and art in one unforgettable take-home build.
Campers will develop key STEAM skills as they explore:
- Structural Engineering – Designing stable, load-bearing structures from simple materials
- Geometry & Symmetry – Recognizing and applying mathematical patterns in art
- Color Theory – Mixing and layering color like a real artist
- The Design Process – Ask, imagine, plan, create, improve — every single day
Campers are grouped by age to make sure every builder, painter, and maker is challenged just right.
