:sun_with_face: 2026 Summer Camp

🏎️ Lego Robotics: Vehicle Engineering – Design, Drive, Automate!

Buckle up. This week, campers become vehicle engineers.

From helicopters and taxis to motorbikes and race cars, every day brings a brand new machine to build, program, and put to the test. Campers don't just assemble models — they write the code that makes their vehicles move, turn, stop, and respond to the world around them. Speed, direction, timing, sensors — it's all in their hands.

The week ends with the ultimate finale: a head-to-head race showcase where every team's custom vehicle competes on the track.

What campers will engineer this week:

  • 🚁 Helicopter – Build a rotor-powered aircraft and program takeoff, hover, and landing sequences
  • 🚕 Taxi & Big Bus – Code vehicles that follow programmed routes, pause at stops, and navigate multi-step sequences
  • 🏍️ Motorbike – Construct a two-wheeled machine and crack the challenge of directional movement and balance
  • 🏎️ Race Day / F1 Showcase – Design and program a high-speed race car, then put it to the test against the other teams

Campers will develop key STEAM skills as they explore:

  • Motor & Motion Control – Programming speed, direction, and precise movement
  • Loops & Sequences – Automating multi-step actions like stopping, turning, and resuming
  • Sensor Integration – Using color and distance sensors to make vehicles respond to their environment
  • Debugging – Troubleshooting when a vehicle doesn't do what the code says it should
  • Engineering Design – Building sturdy, functional structures that actually perform under pressure

Campers are grouped by age and experience — younger builders and advanced engineers each work with age-appropriate kits and challenges to make sure everyone is pushed just right.
